Best. Tape. Ever.

Fri Sep 21, 2007, 11:52 PM
Today marks the day of the best thrift shopping adventure ever.

Not just because I got 3 t-shirts, a coat, a scarf, a picture frame, 3 cassette tapes and a Carebears video for under 25 dollars.

But because of one of the tapes I found, called for some reason 'The Simpsons: 16 radical hits' despite the fact only one of the songs was Simpsons-related.

Side One:
1. Do the Bartman - The Simpsons
2. Turtle Power - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
3. Dick Tracy - Dick Tracy
4. Gremlins Credits - Gremlins 2
5. Overture: Robocop - Robocop
6. Batdance - Batman
7. On Our Own - Ghostbusters II
8. He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother - Rambo III

Side Two:
1. Room to Move - My Stepmother is an Alien
2. Kokomo - Cocktail
3. Put a Little Love in Your Heart - Scrooged
4. Licence to Kill - Licence to Kill
5. Star Wars Theme
6. Back To The Future Theme
7. Star Trek Theme
8. The Dark Crystal Theme

It's like a dream 80's movie/TV mix tape. This is the shit I grew up on. Words can't describe my happiness over this right now. The other tapes were The Cure - Three Imaginary Boys and the Ghostbusters II Soundtrack. The Carebears tape had three episodes ('The trouble with Timothy', 'The best prize of all' and 'Being brave is best'.) It's so rare for me to find good things in thrift shops, so this was definitely the best thrifting day ever.

P.S- I’m really sorry for the cut & paste message, but I have been so overwhelmed these past few days. I really wanted to thank each deviant who has supported my art, and this is the only way I’d have time to do that…so please forgive me:hug:
